PILATES for PRACTITIONER WORKSHOP
The 2 Day Practitioner Workshop is designed for rehabilitation professionals who would like to teach their clients the functional aspects of essential stretches and floor exercises.
These exercises are specifically chosen to address the most common rehab situations – such as lower back pain, shoulder and hip dysfunction and a weak core. The approach is to teach the practitioner the fundamentals of specific movement with a view to progressing the client where they are able to manage a routine by themselves.
The course is conducted by Allan Menezes, the pioneer of the Pilates Method in Australia and author of “The Complete Guide to the Pilates Method” . The venue is held at a Central location and runs from 9am to 5pm (please note: the Melbourne Practitioner Workshop will be held from 8am to 4pm). Bring your workout gear for a fun-filled, informative day! (Lunch not included)
Pay in full 4 weeks or more prior to the course and receive a FREE Menezes Method: Theory & Warm-Up online DVD, Joe Pilates’ 2 e-books: “Your Health” and “Return to Life through Contrology”.
Courses are designed for physiotherapists, osteopaths, MD, massage therapists, sports science/ human movement students or similar as well as Pilates instructors who have attained Level 3 Floor and Level 1 Reformer. Please check with us via email or call (02) 9410 0274 if you are not sure of your eligibility.

Testimonials:
“Allan is a very professional practitioner who gave 100% of his time and knowledge. He was most approachable and I felt comfortable in asking questions. Learning another perspective on Pilates especially in relation to the management of necks and backs was particularly valuable. I was able to immediately put the principles into practice across the 5 weekday Pilates classes I teach. The feedback was positive. I recommend this course to other Practitioners who want to enlarge their Pilates knowledge”

This was great for where I am in my practical knowledge. The workshop is so clinically applicable in manual therapy private practice – learnt a new range of appropriate exercises to use in my clinic.
Tessa Eastoe –
Good pre-course information. Perfect daily schedule – gave enough time for discussions + questions. Learnt how important breathing is + how it influences movement + core. Can now teach specific biomechanics in a functional environment to help patients prevent pain + symptoms. Absolutely recommend to learn importance of core + biomechanics of everyday movements!
Georgia Eastoe – Physiotherapist –
Would recommend to anyone!! Absolutely fantastic!! Very good explanation of theory + biomechanics behind exercises. Allan was great and able to have time to discuss and run through challenging exercises and progressions + good focus on mobility before stability. I will be using this knowledge in everyday practice to show my patients. A great understanding of the body + simple biomechanics to acheive better stability + mobility,

This workshop makes sense, is accurate, safe and offers a deeper understanding of the benefits of exercise, posture and stretches. It was informative and productive and there was great feedback and group discussion – everyone was involved. The pre-course information was all very good and the daily schedule was followed as it was intended. The knowledge from this workshop will absolutely help! It was a good refresher for cues and good to learn the new and improved changes to PAC, now PACE.
