The Menezes Pilates Reformer Level 1 Training Course comprises 5 Units and 37 Exercises in total.
Each unit addresses exercises for certain parts of the body.
Each Lesson within the Unit focusses on that exercise and has a video as well as a written description of the teaching points. At the end of each exercise there is a quiz of up to 4 multiple choice questions to be answered.
The passmark is 80% and you can always go back to review your answers based on the information provided.
In some cases, you will be asked to “do and analyse”, meaning you should do the exercise yourself to then come up with the best answer as it is not provided in the video or text.
The Menezes Pilates training is second to none. It approaches the Pilates Method quite differently.
Feet may be flexed instead of pointed.
The breathing is loud to better engage the core muscles.
Muscles are worked proximal to joints (circle from your inner thigh rather than the foot).
